Our colleague and friend Mirko Klarin, founder and spritius movens of SENSE - Transitional Justice Center and SENSE News Agency, died in Brussels at the age of 79.
He belonged to a generation of Yugoslav journalists who raised the journalistic bar and were utterly committed to their professional mission. He was a lawyer by education and human rights activist by vocation. With great dedication, he advocated and reported about the development of international justice, especially the work and legacy of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. Thanks to his immense experience and knowledge, SENSE Center in Pula has become a base for the exchange of ideas and a meeting point for justice and reconciliation activists from all over the former Yugoslavia.
His last goodbye will be held Tuesday Dec. 20, 2022 at 15:00 at the Intercommunaal Crematorium van Brussel, Av. du Silence 61, 1180 Uccle https://goo.gl/maps/49ASbfZmB4y3CHGD
